Gain in-depth knowledge of the major paradigms in cross-cultural management and their practical applications in international business and organizational contexts. Learn to analyze and navigate cultural differences using functionalist, interpretive, and critical approaches. This course examines the primary paradigms that inform cross-cultural management, including functionalist, interpretive, and critical perspectives. Learners will explore comparative frameworks, meaning-making in intercultural interactions, and the role of power and history in shaping cross-cultural dynamics. The course also addresses how these paradigms apply to international business strategies and organizational design, preparing learners to manage cultural complexity in global enterprises. The course integrates theoretical models with real-world case studies and reflective assessments, enabling learners to critically evaluate and apply cross-cultural management paradigms. Emphasis is placed on understanding diverse viewpoints and developing practical strategies for effective management across cultures. This course is part two of a three-course Specialization designed to build a complete and cohesive understanding of the subject. While it offers valuable skills on its own, you'll gain the most benefit by progressing through all three courses as a structured learning journey. This course is based on Cross-Cultural Management, by Jasmin Mahadevan. Copyright ©2023 by Sage Publications Limited.
