Workplace conflict rarely announces itself. It shows up as missed handovers, meetings that go quiet, a team splitting into camps, and a manager hoping the problem will sort itself out. It almost never does. Left alone, conflict costs real money in turnover, absence, lost productivity, and management time, and the longer it runs the harder it becomes to unwind.
Across four thematic modules and eight focused lessons, you will start with what conflict actually is at work, covering communication, values, filters, and history, along with the group dynamics and manager behaviors that quietly feed it, and how to judge cost and severity before deciding to act. You will then run a full mediation between two employees, from planning and invitation through opening the meeting, negotiating on values rather than positions, and crafting a written agreement. From there you will handle conflicts that involve a whole team, monitor agreements over time, keep people focused while a dispute runs, and know when to call in HR or an outside expert. The course closes with the hardest case of all, namely conflict where you are one of the parties, covering what both sides want, asking for the conversation, running it yourself, and adjusting for whether the other person reports to you, sits alongside you, or above you. Each lesson opens with two five-minute topic videos followed immediately by applied practice, and every module closes with a hands-on lab, a roleplay, a discussion prompt, and a graded assessment, so nothing stays theoretical for long.
Whether you manage a team, support one from HR, or simply want to stop avoiding a conversation you know is overdue, this course gives you the process, scripts, and worked scenarios that turn conflict from something you endure into something you resolve. By the end, you will be able to assess a conflict, plan an intervention, run the meeting, and write an agreement that holds.
