Does it feel like everything on your to-do list is equally urgent — and equally overwhelming? The problem usually isn't the number of tasks you have; it's not having a reliable system for deciding what actually deserves your time and attention. This course gives you that system. In this course, you'll start by reshaping how you think about prioritization — because the right mindset is the foundation of everything. From there, you'll learn practical frameworks for turning vague priorities into actionable projects, and discover how to build "attention paths" that keep your most important work visible and moving forward. You'll also explore two powerful approaches unique to this course — time theming and modes — which help you match your tasks to your schedule, your energy, and your available resources in ways that traditional to-do lists simply can't. By the end of this course, you'll be able to look at your task list and immediately know what matters most — and why. Whether you're a busy professional or someone who simply wants more control over their day, this course will help you reduce stress, reclaim your focus, and make consistent progress on what matters most.

Syllabus

  • Gaining a Prioritization Mindset
    • When everything feels urgent, it’s easy to lose focus, waste time, and add unnecessary stress to your day. In this module, you’ll identify what truly matters, build the right prioritization mindset, and apply practical steps to regain control so you can focus your time and energy with purpose.
  • The ABCs of Prioritization
    • Having priorities isn’t enough if you don’t know how to turn them into consistent, focused action. In this module, you’ll apply daily evaluation techniques, create actionable projects from key priorities, and build reliable attention paths so you can follow through and make meaningful progress every day.
  • Awareness, Clarity, and Focus
    • Without awareness and clarity, it’s difficult to focus your energy on what truly moves you forward. In this module, you’ll identify what matters most, create clarity around your priorities, and build habits that strengthen your focus so you can take consistent, purposeful action.
  • Using Time Theming as an Attention Path
    • Without a clear system, it’s easy for your time and attention to get pulled in too many directions. In this module, you’ll apply time theming strategies across your day, week, month, and year so you can create structure, prioritize with intention, and stay focused on what matters most.
  • Using Modes as an Attention Path
    • When your schedule is unpredictable, traditional planning methods can fall short and leave your priorities scattered. In this module, you’ll identify flexible ways to organize your work by theme, resources, energy, activity, and available time so you can adapt in the moment and keep your priorities moving forward.
  • The Value of Chronicling
    • Without a way to track your actions, it’s easy to lose sight of how well your priorities align with your intentions. In this module, you’ll build a consistent journaling practice, apply it to evaluate your daily priorities, and create habits that help you stay accountable and focused over time.
