In this course, you'll continue analyzing data using Power BI by modeling data using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) calculations. You'll also create data hierarchies, filter reports, configure slicers, perform statistical analysis, and use advanced Power BI features. This is the third course in a multi-course Specialization. All of the courses in this Specialization require that you have a Microsoft 365 account with a Power BI Pro license, along with Power BI Desktop. The course setup instructions provided in the first module of the course go into more detail about the hardware and software requirements.

Syllabus

  • Modeling Data with Calculations
    • One of the powerful features of Microsoft® Power BI® is the ability to take the data you bring in and compute it to show relationships and find the answers to key questions. In this lesson, you will model data with calculations.
  • Customizing and Filtering Reports
    • Microsoft® Power BI® has many powerful features that let you filter reports so that you can focus on specific data you're looking for. In this lesson, you will customize and filter reports.
  • Performing Advanced Analysis
    • Some situations call for using more advanced data-analysis techniques to find the story the data wants to tell, or perform the analysis that is needed. In this lesson, you will perform advanced analysis in Microsoft® Power BI®.
  • Completing the Course
    • You'll wrap things up and then validate what you've learned in this course by taking an assessment.
