Oracle Linux 8 – Get It? Got It? Good!
- This module provides an in-depth look at installing, migrating, and upgrading to Oracle Linux 8. It covers essential technical requirements, installation methods, and strategies for transitioning from older Linux distributions, while also addressing cross-architecture compatibility and future-proofing IT environments.
Installing with and without Automation Magic
- This module covers both manual and automated methods for installing operating systems, focusing on PXE boot, DHCP, and kickstart configurations. Learners will gain hands-on knowledge of setting up network-based deployment environments and understanding the trade-offs between manual and automated installation approaches.
Exploring the Various Boot Options and Kernels in Oracle Linux
- This module covers the fundamentals of boot options, kernel management, and security features in Oracle Linux. Learners will gain an understanding of UEFI-based booting, Secure Boot, and how to enhance system security through tools like TrenchBoot and Machine Owner Key (MOK) databases. The module equips students with the skills to configure and secure boot processes effectively.
Creating and Managing Single-Instance Filesystems
- This module explores the fundamentals of creating and managing single-instance filesystems using Btrfs and XFS. Learners will gain hands-on knowledge of storage management techniques, including RAID configurations, LVM, and data protection strategies. The content covers both theoretical concepts and practical implementation steps for reliable data handling.
