What sets this course apart is the honest, practical voice it brings to a topic most self-help frameworks tiptoe around. You'll get the science of why rejection hurts, the theater tradition for receiving feedback without defending, and the values exercise that connects what hurts to what you actually care about. Whether you've just been turned down for the role of your career or you've been quietly carrying an old no for years, you'll leave with concrete moves to make this week and a clearer sense of where you're going next. You'll stop letting rejection write the story.

Syllabus

  • R-E-J-E-C-T Find Out What It Means to Me...
    • Rejection stings because your brain treats it like a threat to survival, not because you're weak or thin-skinned. In this module, you'll reframe what rejection actually means, get specific about the type you experienced, and pick up self-soothing strategies you can use the next time disappointment hits.
  • Investigating Reality
    • When rejection hits, the story you tell yourself often outruns the facts. In this module, you'll dig into what actually happened, weigh the real cost, and use the experience to surface what you truly want.
  • Finding the Opportunity
    • Every rejection carries information, but only if you're willing to mine it without getting defensive. In this module, you'll borrow a few tricks from theater and audition rooms to extract real lessons from both your setbacks and your wins.
  • Try, Try Again (or Quit)
    • Knowing when to push and when to walk away is one of the hardest calls you'll make after a setback. In this module, you'll build a decision framework, defuse negative self-talk, and use small shifts to move yourself meaningfully closer to what you want.
  • What's Next?
    • Real recovery from rejection isn't about bouncing back to where you were. It's about building a life that's clearer, better supported, and more aligned with what matters to you. In this module, you'll name your values, make your own luck, and put a daily practice in place that compounds into self-respect.
