Lean Production is a proven approach to designing efficient, high-quality, and customer-focused processes. In this course, you will learn the fundamental principles, methods, and tools of Lean Production, with a strong focus on practical application and real-world relevance.
The course introduces the Lean philosophy and its origins in the Toyota Production System, emphasizing value creation from the customer’s perspective. You will learn how to identify waste, distinguish value-adding from non-value-adding activities, and analyze processes using structured Lean thinking.
Building on this foundation, the course covers key Lean concepts such as process flow, takt time, capacity, bottlenecks, and pull systems. You will learn to map and analyze processes, identify the process bottleneck and calculate resource utilization. You will investigate how variability affects systems, resulting in waiting times – even if enough capacity is available – and inventory build-up.
Applicable to production or services, from banking to health care to hotel management to sales and marketing, this course helps you understand the fundamentals of Lean Production for application in any field.

That was the best course on Lean manufacturing and a little bit of six sigma that made me truly understand the mathematic and technical understanding of the process an manufacturing.
thanks for the great course. -
1. Real-World Application Focus on: Little’s Law, Takt Time, or the Kingman Equation. After completing the modules on Little's Law and Flow Metrics, I applied these concepts to our department's [mention specific process, e.g., order fulfillment or s…

This course from Technical University of Munich gives a clear understanding of process analysis and lean operations. It explains concepts like process flow, capacity, bottlenecks, and variability in an easy way using practical examples.
The course also introduces useful tools like Little’s Law and the Kingman equation, which help in analyzing real systems. Overall, it is helpful for understanding how to improve efficiency and reduce waste in processes. -
As someone in the construction industry, I found this course on Lean Production to be highly practical. It focuses on the logic of how to keep a project moving without the usual delays and wasted effort thru TIMWOOD etc.

It was a nice quick overview of the fundamentals. I have a Six Sigma Greenbelt and am working on a Six Sigma Blackbelt, and I felt that the information in this course was a helpful review.

For someone who wants to learn fundamentals of Lean Production, I think this course is the right one to attend. The language used was very easy to understand. The example given helps students to relate with the content of the course. The test was a bit tough but if we're able to concentrate on what was taught and take note, you should be able to answer all the questions easily.
