Syllabus

  • Generative AI Foundations for Requirements Engineering
    • This module introduces the foundational concepts of using Generative AI in requirements engineering. You’ll explore how AI can support prompt engineering, stakeholder interviews, requirement gathering, and documentation tasks typically performed by a systems analyst. Through hands-on examples, you will gain practical experience using tools such as ChatGPT to simulate interviews and generate requirements.
  • Process Modeling, Architecture, and Documentation with Generative AI
    • This module focuses on the application of Generative AI for modeling business processes and documenting system flows. You will learn how to auto-generate diagrams, such as BPMN and flowcharts, critique workflows, and create structured documentation. You’ll use Generative AI tools to convert informal notes into formal artifacts, enhancing efficiency in documentation.
  • Analysis, Testing, and Compliance with Generative AI
    • In this module, you will explore ways to enhance business communication, document review, and tool integration using Generative AI. Key focus areas include generating stakeholder-specific communications, analyzing documents for gaps, and auto-creating stakeholder maps. You’ll also learn about integrating Generative AI workflows with platforms such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
  • Final Project, Final Exam and Wrap-Up
    • In this final module, you will apply your learning through a final project where you will simulate a professional consulting engagement for an online bank that is preparing to launch a digital loan pre-approval and onboarding system. Using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot, you will plan, model, and document the solution. The goal is to apply what you have learned about AI-assisted business analysis and systems design to produce a set of high-quality artifacts. The module includes a course glossary to reinforce key terminology and concepts. You will also attempt a final quiz to assess your overall mastery of the concepts you’ve learned in this course. The course concludes with a wrap-up that summarizes key takeaways and guides you on how to apply your learning further in systems analysis.
