In this course, you practice English for comparison, contrast, opinion writing, and communication in business, ethics, and social media contexts. You build vocabulary and expressions for professional communication, read and listen to workplace materials, and compare and contrast ideas in speaking and writing tasks. You also apply past modals to express ideas and opinions accurately. In the ethics and social media module, you explore online behavior and social responsibility, strengthen vocabulary, interpret reading and listening materials, and express opinions with supporting ideas. You practice noun clauses with that and if, along with discussions, written responses, language practice, listening comprehension, final challenges, and final products. By the end, you will have practiced using English to communicate perspectives on professional, social, and ethical topics with clearer organization and support.

Syllabus

  • Business
    • This module focuses on developing communication skills in business and professional contexts. Learners will build vocabulary, improve reading and listening comprehension, and practice expressing ideas through writing and speaking. The module introduces grammar concepts such as past modals and provides opportunities to compare and contrast ideas in structured communication tasks. Through guided activities, practice exercises, and assessments, learners will gain confidence in using English in workplace and professional situations.
  • Ethics and Social Media
    • This module focuses on developing communication skills through the theme of ethics and social media. Learners will explore topics related to online behavior and social responsibility while building vocabulary and improving reading and listening comprehension. The module emphasizes expressing opinions and supporting ideas using appropriate language and grammar, including noun clauses. Through guided activities, discussions, and assessments, learners will gain confidence in communicating their perspectives on real-world issues.
