And you'll configure custom Viva Insights queries to answer specific organizational questions, export results to Power BI for business unit segmentation, and evaluate workplace pilots—like "meeting-free Wednesday"—using rigorous pre/post analysis. A portfolio project at the end of the course integrates all three skill areas into a data-informed engagement strategy ready for executive review.

Viva Engagement: Analyse Burnout Drivers and Brief Leadership

Learn to interpret Viva Insights engagement dashboards to identify burnout signals and intervention opportunities. You'll analyze overtime trends, after-hours work patterns, and meeting load data to create leadership-ready briefings.

Viva Engagement: Create Engagement Action Plan

Learn to translate engagement insights into actionable intervention plans. You'll design initiatives that address specific burnout drivers, launch recognition programs, and establish pulse survey tracking to measure progress.

Feedback Flywheel: Create Multi-Source Feedback Cadence

Learn to design a feedback system that pulls data from multiple platforms into a unified view. You'll configure automated data exports, build Power BI dashboards, and establish a monthly reporting cadence.

Feedback Flywheel: Analyse Trends and Coach Managers

Learn to interpret feedback data to identify managers who need support and coach them on improving their feedback practices. You'll analyze frequency and sentiment patterns, flag concerning cases, and facilitate coaching clinics.

Viva Queries: Configure Advanced Queries and Power BI Export

Learn to move beyond standard Viva dashboards by creating custom queries that answer specific organizational questions. You'll configure query parameters, select appropriate metrics, export results to Power BI, and build segmented visualizations, such as heat maps, by business unit.

Viva Queries: Evaluate Productivity Pilots with Pre/Post Analysis

Learn to design and execute rigorous pilot evaluations using Viva Insights data. You'll establish baseline metrics, monitor pilot implementation, calculate pre/post deltas, and write findings memos that help leadership decide whether to scale initiatives. Note: The query-building workflows in this module require Viva Insights Advanced. If your organization has only standard Viva Insights, you'll work from pre-built dashboard views rather than the Analyst Workbench. The evaluation methodology and findings memo skills apply regardless of your access level.
