You'll dismantle the myths that convince capable people they aren't creative, then rebuild a physical and mental foundation for creative thinking that draws on your senses, your curiosity, and your imagination. You'll practice techniques for reframing problems, connecting unrelated ideas, using metaphor, and removing your own unconscious bias, then apply structured methods such as the SCAMPER technique and powerful questioning to turn those insights into ideas your business can act on. You'll also examine your own leadership behaviors and build the psychological safety, inclusion, and risk tolerance that let creative ideas surface from every level of your team. By the end of this course, you'll identify and clear the creative blind spots holding you back, apply a toolkit of proven techniques to generate and select novel ideas, and lead a team culture where creativity is expected rather than hoped for.

Syllabus

Reclaiming Your Creative Identity
- You've spent years believing creativity belongs to a select few, and that belief is quietly limiting how you lead. In this module, you'll shed the myths holding your creative identity back, reconnect your mind and body as tools for original thinking, and build the self-awareness to access your creative best.
Awakening Curiosity and Imagination
- Your curiosity and imagination didn't disappear as you took on more responsibility, they just went dormant from disuse. In this module, you'll sharpen your sensory observation, apply curiosity-building techniques to widen what you notice, and stretch your imagination past the first obvious answer.
Building Flexible, Connective Thinking Skills
- You navigate a hundred invisible rules every day, elevators, meetings, client calls, and you've likely never questioned most of them. In this module, you'll break unhelpful frames, borrow other people's vantage points, connect ideas that don't obviously belong together, and use metaphor and bias-awareness to see your problems differently.
Structuring Questions to Drive Business Innovation
- Every meeting you run is either sharpening your team's thinking or dulling it, and the difference usually comes down to the questions you ask. In this module, you'll craft powerful, open-ended questions, apply the SCAMPER method to interrogate a process from seven angles, and separate divergent brainstorming from convergent selection to land on ideas your business can actually use.
Leading With an Inclusive, Growth-Oriented Mindset
- Your team is watching what you do far more closely than what you say, and your daily habits are already teaching them whether creativity is safe to bring to work. In this module, you'll spot the leadership habits that quietly shut down creative thinking, invite overlooked voices into your decision-making, and build the growth-mindset behaviors that keep your team's creative confidence growing.
Building a Psychologically Safe, Risk-Ready Team
- Your team will only take the creative risks your culture actually rewards, not the ones your mission statement claims to encourage. In this module, you'll build the self-efficacy and risk-taking habits that turn setbacks into fuel, put real inclusion practices behind your diversity goals, and construct the four stages of psychological safety your team needs to challenge ideas without fear.
