Syllabus

Getting Started with Creative Constraints

This module introduces the concept of creative limitations as a powerful tool for unlocking new ideas. You’ll explore how constraints can reduce overwhelm and increase focus, while also setting expectations for the 7-day challenge. By the end, you’ll be ready to begin the process with a clear mindset and plan.

Kicking Off the Challenge with Color and Tools

In this module, you’ll begin the challenge by exploring how constraints related to color, tools, and size impact your creative decisions. Each exercise encourages experimentation and play, helping you discover how small changes can lead to unexpected and exciting results.

Expanding Creativity Through Senses and Mark-Making

This module pushes your creativity further by introducing sensory exploration, expressive mark-making, and time-based constraints. You’ll learn to trust your instincts, work more freely, and embrace imperfection as part of the creative process.

Exploring Space and Reflecting on Your Creative Growth

In the final module, you’ll complete the challenge by exploring space as a creative limitation and reflecting on your progress. You’ll analyze your work, recognize growth, and leave with strategies to continue generating ideas using constraints in your ongoing creative practice.
