Once you know what you want to say, the next challenge is making it clear you mean it. This course teaches you to turn a clear idea into a polished, professional asset in Adobe Express, whether that's a slide deck, a project brief, a poster, or a portfolio piece, no design background required. You'll start with a small set of design principles, composition, type, and color, that apply no matter what you're building, then practice them using templates and layout tools until a first draft starts to look intentional rather than accidental. From there, you'll refine your choices in typography and color to set the right tone, and prepare your work so it holds up across contexts: resized for different platforms, checked against accessibility basics, and kept consistent with brand assets. By the end, you'll have a finished piece you're comfortable sharing under your own name, plus a repeatable process for producing the next one.

Syllabus

  • Getting Started in Adobe Express
    • This introductory module is all about getting you comfortable with creating, fast. You'll start with a few design principles that make your communications clearer, and then you'll meet the Adobe Express tools that put those principles to work. The focus is clarity over decoration, so whether you're building a slide deck, a flyer, or a one-pager, you'll learn to make materials that look intentional and professional from the very first draft.
  • Design for Clarity
    • Good design isn't about decoration, it's about making meaning clear. In this module, you'll learn how composition, type, and color work together to guide a reader's eye and support your message, whether it's on a presentation slide, a printed handout, or a portfolio page. You'll make deliberate choices about layout and fonts, and then you'll apply them to the draft you started in Module 1. These are skills that will help you make any material, in any field, easier to understand.
  • Make it Accessible and Ready to Share Anywhere
    • A message only has impact if it reaches everyone it's meant for. In this final module, you'll make your communication asset accessible and flexible so it works for every person and every format, whether it's projected in a lecture hall, printed as a poster, or opened on a phone. You'll apply accessibility basics, resize your design for different contexts, and use brand kits to keep things consistent. This is what turns a good draft into a finished asset you can confidently share anywhere in the world.
