This hands-on course empowers learners to design, deploy, and manage scalable web applications using Microsoft Azure App Services and its associated cloud infrastructure. Through practical lessons and real-world scenarios, learners will explore the complete lifecycle of cloud application development—from provisioning resources and configuring databases to implementing secure APIs, logic workflows, and event-driven systems. The course begins with foundational concepts like deploying websites and configuring resource groups, followed by deep dives into service plans, remote connectivity, CORS policies, and content delivery optimization using Azure CDN. Learners will then develop skills to implement robust authentication, backup strategies, and workflow automation using Logic Apps. In the later modules, they will construct virtual machine environments, configure advanced networking elements such as subnets and route tables, and work with enterprise-grade messaging using Azure Service Bus and Azure Functions. Finally, the course wraps up with event-driven architecture patterns using Azure Event Grid. Throughout the course, learners will apply Bloom’s Taxonomy skills such as identifying, demonstrating, configuring, designing, implementing, and evaluating solutions using Azure tools. By the end of this course, learners will be able to: Deploy and manage Azure App Services for a variety of web applications Integrate services like SQL databases, CORS, and CDN for enhanced functionality and performance Secure applications with authentication and authorization models Automate business processes using Logic Apps and Azure Functions Construct cloud-native architectures with advanced networking and event-driven patterns This course is ideal for cloud developers, IT professionals, and solution architects who wish to apply, analyze, and evaluate real-time Azure scenarios in a production-ready environment.

Syllabus

  • Getting Started with Azure App Services
    • This module introduces the fundamentals of Azure App Services, covering how to deploy, redeploy, and manage .NET-based web applications. Learners will also explore resource group creation and integration of basic Azure services.
  • Database and Hosting Configuration
    • This module explores database setup and hosting components necessary for enterprise-grade applications in Azure. It also introduces developers to remote access and CORS, key elements for distributed and secure connectivity.
  • APIs, CDN, and Caching
    • This module focuses on deploying APIs in Azure, enforcing security via CORS, and enhancing performance using Azure Content Delivery Network (CDN) and caching mechanisms.
  • Security, Backup, and Logic Apps
    • This module guides learners through implementing authentication and authorization in Azure App Services. It also covers backup strategies and introduces Azure Logic Apps to automate workflows and ensure application resilience.
  • Logic Workflows and Virtual Machines
    • This module explores advanced logic workflows and the complete lifecycle of deploying virtual machines in Azure. Learners will automate business processes with Logic Apps and implement infrastructure setup using VMs.
  • Networking in Azure
    • This module provides foundational and advanced insights into virtual networking in Azure. Learners will create and manage networks, subnets, and explore IP routing and network interfaces in a cloud environment.
  • Messaging and Event Services
    • This module introduces messaging infrastructure in Azure using Service Bus and teaches how to develop event-driven applications using Azure Function Apps. Learners explore queue management, event handling, and serverless API creation.
  • Event-Driven Applications
    • This final module focuses on event routing through Azure Event Grid. Learners will create event-driven workflows by connecting publishers and subscribers, enabling responsive and loosely coupled system architectures.
