This course assists learners with key AWS services for building, deploying, and monitoring modern applications. Learners will gain hands-on experience with services like AWS CloudShell, Amazon CodeGuru, AWS Amplify, and AWS CodeArtifact. It covers containerization technologies such as Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS, along with deployment tools like AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline. The course is divided into two modules and each module is further segmented by Lessons and Video Lectures. This course facilitates learners with approximately 3:00-3:30 Hours of Video lectures that provide both Theory and Hands-On knowledge. Also, Graded and Ungraded Quizzes are provided with every module to test the ability of learners. - Module 1: Containers in AWS - Module 2: Developer Tools in AWS This course is designed for professionals to assess their ability to build, deploy, and manage applications. Containers enable scalable and portable application deployments, while developer tools automate the software development lifecycle, from code commit to production release. By the end of the course, learners will be able to: - Improve code quality, accelerate development, and automate deployment processes. - Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using ECS, EKS, and Copilot. - Implement CI/CD pipelines using CodePipeline and CodeBuild. - Analyze and debug application performance using X-Ray.

Syllabus

  • Containers in AWS
    • Welcome to Week 1 of the AWS: Containers and Developer Tools course. In this week, we will be introduced to Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), covering topics such as creating ECS clusters, defining task definitions, and managing services and tasks. Additionally, we'll provide a demonstration of Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) for efficient container image storage and management. The module also introduces Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), highlighting its capabilities in orchestrating containerized applications using Kubernetes. Furthermore, we'll examine AWS Copilot, a command-line tool that simplifies application deployment and management on AWS.
  • Developer Tools in AWS
    • Welcome to Week 2. This week, we'll explore AWS CloudShell and Amazon CodeGuru for managing AWS resources and enhancing code quality respectively. We'll then introduce AWS Amplify, guiding you through initialization, backend setup, authentication, and app hosting. The week continues with an in-depth look at AWS CodeArtifact, AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline, essential tools for continuous integration and deployment. Finally, we'll examine AWS X-Ray, accompanied by a demo, to understand application tracing and debugging. By week's end, you'll have a solid foundation in these AWS developer tools, preparing you for efficient application development and deployment.
