Explore the grapes & styles that make the most classic examples of bubbles, fortified and dessert wines in this advanced blind tasting class.

Master Sommelier David Glancy helps students tackle the most challenging flights of sparkling wines, fortified wines and non-fortified dessert wines. Learn to identify the similarities and differences in each wine and discuss the major regions and styles globally. Decipher what differences are derived from grape variety, terroir, vineyard practices, winemaking or aging.

This is an advanced blind tasting class. Students are strongly encouraged to complete Intro to Blind Tasting and Intermediate Blind Tasting prior to joining this class.

  • If you have a tasting kit, it may be picked up at San Francisco Wine School or delivered across the US.
  • Wine parameter lists are available for those participating in locations where kits cannot be delivered. View pickup and delivery options here.
  • Those who would like to attend online and forgo the wine tastings can choose "Skip the Wine".
  • Wine lists and instructions are included in your kit.
