The 40 Hour HAZWOPER training online is an OSHA-required course covering Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standards. This course satisfies the requirements of OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.120, which mandates that individuals working at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites complete approved HAZWOPER training before beginning work.
HAZWOPER: OSHA Requirement:
OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.120 also requires individuals to complete an 8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher course on an annual basis to maintain their 40 Hour and 24 Hour HAZWOPER certifications. Failure to renew before the certification expiration date will require you to retake the full initial course.
CEU Requirements:
- 100% attendance for the 40 Hour HAZWOPER course
- Completion of the Continuing Education and Training Registration Form
- Active participation in all class exercises as determined by the course instructor
- Completion of required pre- and post-quiz assessments
- Achievement of the minimum passing score on the required end-of-course examination, where applicable
- Submission of the end-of-course evaluation form with your name in order to receive credit
