This Specialization prepares professionals to assess desk-worker mobility needs and build practical programs for office, remote, and hybrid teams. Learners connect ergonomics, human factors, movement observation, program design, implementation, and responsible measurement. Across three standalone courses, they create needs assessments, mobility program blueprints, and rollout plans that support accessible, scalable corporate wellness delivery.
Syllabus
- Course 1: Desk Worker Mobility Foundations
- Course 2: Designing Desk Worker Mobility Programs
- Course 3: Implementing and Measuring Desk Worker Mobility Programs
Courses
-
Learn how to turn desk-worker mobility assessment findings into a practical program that fits real employees, schedules, and work environments. This course guides you through defining program goals, selecting useful success measures, designing movement-break formats, and creating accessible upper- and lower-body reset menus. You will learn to match strategies to employee planning segments without diagnosing or labeling individuals. You will also adapt delivery for remote, hybrid, and office teams while addressing engagement barriers, accessibility needs, communication, and behavior cues. Practical scenarios help you decide which program response best fits a particular need rather than defaulting to a generic stretching routine. By the end, you will assemble a Desk Worker Mobility Program Blueprint that connects employee needs, program priorities, movement strategies, delivery pathways, weekly scheduling, communication, follow-up measures, and referral considerations. The course is designed for wellness professionals, trainers, ergonomics practitioners, HR leaders, and program managers seeking scalable workplace mobility solutions.

Learn to identify desk-worker mobility needs and turn observations into a practical, scope-aware needs assessment. This course explains how prolonged sitting, repetitive tasks, remote and hybrid work, workstation fit, behavior, and human factors shape workday movement. You will examine common discomfort and movement patterns without diagnosing employees or assuming one posture is the cause. Through scenarios and screening tools, practice reviewing workstation zones, observing posture and movement behavior, and considering upper-body, spine, hip, and lower-body needs. You will also select useful baseline metrics, organize employees into non-medical planning segments, and connect findings to realistic program recommendations. The emphasis is practical decision-making, not perfect posture or generic stretch breaks. By the end, you will build a Desk Worker Mobility Needs Assessment combining workstation observations, movement patterns, employee context, baseline measures, priorities, and referral considerations. The course is for wellness professionals, trainers, ergonomics practitioners, and program leaders who need a clear foundation for scalable desk-worker mobility initiatives.
