Learn to identify desk-worker mobility needs and turn observations into a practical, scope-aware needs assessment. This course explains how prolonged sitting, repetitive tasks, remote and hybrid work, workstation fit, behavior, and human factors shape workday movement. You will examine common discomfort and movement patterns without diagnosing employees or assuming one posture is the cause.
Through scenarios and screening tools, practice reviewing workstation zones, observing posture and movement behavior, and considering upper-body, spine, hip, and lower-body needs. You will also select useful baseline metrics, organize employees into non-medical planning segments, and connect findings to realistic program recommendations. The emphasis is practical decision-making, not perfect posture or generic stretch breaks.
By the end, you will build a Desk Worker Mobility Needs Assessment combining workstation observations, movement patterns, employee context, baseline measures, priorities, and referral considerations. The course is for wellness professionals, trainers, ergonomics practitioners, and program leaders who need a clear foundation for scalable desk-worker mobility initiatives.
