This course is for business professionals, managers, and HR personnel seeking to understand and implement effective compliance and risk management strategies. You will learn to identify and mitigate business risks, ensuring organizational sustainability. The course covers legal and safety compliance, operational policies, and the strategic role of Human Resources in organizational change. By the end of this course, you will be able to: ● Explain the criticality of compliance for ongoing operations and organizational sustainability. ● Implement and apply compliance strategies within an organization. ● Identify key laws and procedural requirements necessary for compliance. ● Analyze HR’s role in organizational restructuring, including mergers and acquisitions. ● Identify operational activities requiring formal risk management policies and procedures. Syllabus

Introduction to Compliance and Risk Management

In this week, we will explain the mindset of positive and negative risk management. We will also learn the criticality of compliance and being compliant for the ongoing operations and sustainability of the organization; differentiating between legal, compliance, and operation policies and procedures.

Hiring and Employee Relations Regulations

This week we will explain, implement, and apply legal compliance for an organization. We will also be able to explain, implement, and apply benefits and pay legal compliances. We will identify key laws and procedural requirements necessary for compliance.

Health and Safety Regulations

This week, we’re going to learn about health and safety regulations by exploring OSHA and other federal laws and regulations that are required in the workplace. We’ll also learn about workplace hazards and threats and how to appropriately handle them.

Compliance Strategy and Implementation

This week, we will learn about HR's role in organization restructuring. We will also explore how HR professionals are involved in business continuity, including divestitures and furloughs.

Compliance and Risk Management Training

This week, we will learn about implementing compliance and risk management training by identifying formal risk management policies used in business continuity planning. We will also learn to identify key operational activities that require formal risk management procedures.
