This course teaches learners how to safely transition between identity sources in AWS IAM Identity Center. Participants will understand the three identity source options available, recognize common drivers for migration -- such as switching identity providers, consolidating infrastructure, or moving off legacy systems -- and learn the risks of unplanned cutovers, including temporary loss of access. The course provides architectural guidance, a step-by-step runbook for switching from Active Directory to Okta as a representative SAML 2.0 provider, and sample automation code to assist the transition. It is designed for AWS administrators, identity engineers, and project teams.
