This course teaches you how to implement standardized communication protocols for AI agents using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. You will learn the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for universal AI-to-tool integration and the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol for inter-agent collaboration.
Starting with the evolution from LLMs to agentic AI systems, the course examines why custom tool integrations do not scale (the N×M problem) and how MCP reduces integration complexity to N+M. You will explore MCP’s architecture, primitives, and transport mechanisms, then progress to A2A’s Agent Card discovery, task lifecycle, and multi-turn collaboration patterns.
The course culminates with hands-on implementation: building a Strands agent, containerizing it for AgentCore Runtime, exposing tools via MCP, enabling agent-to-agent discovery via A2A, and deploying a multi-agent orchestration system on AWS.
