Practical Machine Learning - Embed a Generative AI Model in Your App - Workshop

This workshop from the Audio Developer Conference (ADC) 2024 provides a hands-on introduction to practical machine learning for audio applications. Learn how to embed a generative AI model in your app and train your own interactions with it through an accessible, beginner-friendly approach. Explore machine learning fundamentals with a focus on models that run on CPU in real-time, without requiring specialized hardware. The session covers the differences between small and large models and introduces a Python training environment, with the goal of having participants work with a trained model during the workshop. Designed by Dynamic Cast, a peer-to-peer C++ study group creating safe spaces for underrepresented groups in tech, this self-contained workshop welcomes all skill levels. Led by an experienced team including Anna Wszeborowska, Harriet Drury, Sohyun Im, Julia Läger, and Pauline Nemchak, who bring diverse expertise in audio programming, DSP, and machine learning applications for music technology.
