A polygon is a closed two-dimensional shape made by joining three or more straight line segments. These line segments are called sides, and the points where the sides meet are called vertices (corners).
    Example
    Triangle – 3 sides
    Quadrilateral – 4 sides
    Pentagon – 5 sides
    Hexagon – 6 sides
All these shapes are polygons because they are closed figures made of straight lines.
