Explore a thought-provoking lecture from the Hayek Lecture Series where Professor Samuel Gregg, Friedrich Hayek Chair in Economics and Economic History at the American Institute for Economic Research, analyzes the challenges facing market liberalism in today's increasingly state-controlled economic environment. Drawing from his extensive background in moral philosophy and political economy from Oxford University, Gregg examines the growing trend of government intervention through industrial policies, tariffs, welfare state expansion, and industry nationalization. Learn why market liberals must expand their arguments beyond pure economics to effectively advocate for their positions in the current dirigiste climate. Delivered as part of Duke University's Center for the History of Political Economy and Philosophy, Politics & Economics certificate program, this 26-minute presentation offers valuable insights into the evolving relationship between state control and market economics.

Extremely interesting lecture recording of which breaks uncompleted after ca. 26 mins. It is a pitty as it contains very pressing questions of market liberalizm as opposed to state interventionism. In trumpean world the points presented during the lecture are very important.
