  In modern society, the high incidence of chronic diseases has severely affected people's quality of life and health levels. The course "The Wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Chronic Diseases" is designed to address this situation and is of great significance to students majoring in health and wellness, enthusiasts, and medical professionals.

I. Course Theme

  This course focuses on seven common chronic diseases: diabetes, coronary heart disease, Alzheimer's disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, depression, cancer, and stroke. The core of the course lies in deeply integrating the essence of ancient and modern traditional Chinese medicine and breaking down the barriers of traditional medical systems. On the one hand, it delves into the causes, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and unique treatment methods of traditional Chinese medicine for these diseases. On the other hand, it closely follows the latest research achievements of modern medicine, thus creating a new perspective and a complete interdisciplinary knowledge framework for chronic disease management.

The "Disease Frontier Exploration: Modern Medical Perspective" presents the latest breakthroughs in disease prevention and treatment of modern medicine in a timely manner. For example, in the coronary heart disease unit, students can explore the etiological theories such as heart blood stasis and traditional Chinese medicine conditioning methods from ancient medical books, learn the interventional treatment and drug research and development achievements of modern medicine, and also master how to organically combine traditional Chinese and Western medicine methods according to the patient's constitution and condition to achieve the best treatment effect.
