Study on rules for prescription compatibility is a core and compulsory curriculum for postgraduates in the discipline of formulaology. It focuses on in-depth studies on the prescription compatibility based on the formulaology curriculum for undergraduates. The curriculum always adheres to the mission of strengthening moral education and cultivating talents. It aims to cultivate high-level and comprehensively developed talents of TCM with good knowledge of theory and thinking ability of TCM prescriptions, the characteristics of integrity and innovation, both virtue and ability in line with the development needs of China's "new medical science". The curriculum contents were designed with the concept of inheriting and promoting ancient prescriptions, including clinically effective classical prescriptions and fully restoring the original features of classical prescriptions. The students can learn the exquisite points of compatibility, understand and correctly use the classical prescriptions. The curriculum comprehensively introduced the original thoughts, application principles and academic values of classical prescriptions. Through this curriculum, students can learn the characteristics and theoretical connotation of prescription compatibility, various compatibility methods, interpretation of compatibility of famous medicine prescriptions, compatibility strategies and methods of different diseases, master the development trends of this discipline at home and abroad, improve the theoretical quality of TCM prescriptions, understand the significance of prescription compatibility proposed by ancient sages, develop the ability for analyzing and using prescriptions, as well as creating prescriptions according to clinical needs and based on the characteristics of modern clinical medicine.
