Acupuncture and Moxibustion Therapy is a discipline guided by traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory, studying various acupuncture and moxibustion techniques, such as needling, moxibustion, and cupping, in clinical applications. It is an important part of TCM acupuncture and moxibustion, and primarily includes the therapeutic principle of acupuncture and moxibustion, the clinical differentiation and treatment guideline for acupuncture and moxibustion, acupuncture and moxibustion prescription, the clinical application of specific acupoints, and clinical application of acupuncture and moxibustion in internal medicine, external medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, and other fields.
This course is specifically designed for students majoring in Acupuncture-Moxibustion and Tuina, as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine at both undergraduate and college students. Through this course, students can integrate theoretical knowledge and practical skills of acupuncture and moxibustion into the process of organizing acupuncture-moxibustion prescriptions and apply them to clinical practice. It is also a critical step for students to successfully transition from the classroom to clinical practice.
