"Green Prevention and Control Technology for Plant Diseases and Pests"" is the core course of the plant protection major. Taking the cultivation of morality and talents as the foundation of education, it organically integrates ideological and political elements such as the feelings of ""great power, agriculture, rural areas and farmers"", and cultivates plant protection technicians with professional knowledge of plant diseases and pests prevention and control and professional ability to ""identify, understand and control"" for China's rural revitalization strategy.

It plays an important role in producing high-efficiency, high-quality and high-yield agricultural products, protecting the balance of agricultural ecosystem and protecting the country's lucid waters and lush mountains.

According to the professional teaching standards of the Ministry of Education, the ""Vocational Skills Standards for Crop Protection Workers"" and the talent needs of plant protection industry (enterprise), with the training goal of highlighting core vocational abilities, taking the real diseases and pests in the field as the carrier, and taking the application of crop protection UAVs, agricultural IoT technology and other industries as the guidance, the teaching content is designed with scientific and reasonable green prevention and control technology for diseases and pests as the core.

In order to adapt to the difference in the depth and breadth of the course content among various majors in horticultural techniques, this course adopts modular course design to broaden the scope of application of the course.

This course consists of six modules: green prevention and control of diseases and pests in grain crops, green prevention and control of diseases and pests in oil crops, green prevention and control of diseases and pests in fruit trees, green prevention and control of diseases and pests in vegetables, green prevention and control of diseases and pests in flowers, and knowledge expansion. In the design of professional skills training, with the green prevention and control workflow of diseases and pests of a certain type of crop as the main line, the diagnosis of diseases and pests (observation of damage symptoms of diseases and pests, pathogens or pest morphology) is carried out first, then field investigation and statistics are conducted, and the green prevention and control plans for diseases and pests are formulated and implemented. Module 5 is knowledge expansion for optional learning and skill improvement, involving the skill assessment of crop plant protection workers and the application of ""1+X"" plant protection UAV and other new technologies in the industry, laying a foundation for future promotion and further learning of plant protection technology. Starting from 2022, all the tasks in the course are applicable to students majoring in plant protection, while students majoring in horticultural techniques, leisure agricultural operation and management must learn the green prevention and control of diseases and pests in fruit trees, vegetables and flowers, and the rest is optional."

"1. Explore the ideological and political elements of the course and implement the new ideological and political concepts of the course

The course seeks the combination of professional knowledge and ideological and political elements, takes ""lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets"", serving ""agriculture, rural areas and farmers"" and rural revitalization strategy as the main line of ideological and political education, integrates green thinking, ecological thinking, humanistic thinking and innovative thinking into the teaching objectives, cultivates students' sense of responsibility of strengthening and revitalizing agriculture, cultivates the feelings of understanding and love for agriculture, and establishes the spirit of hard-working, solidarity and cooperation, as well as a scientific, rigorous and realistic learning attitude, so that students can expand from mastering professional knowledge and skills to integrating endogenous emotional attitudes and majors, enhance the sense of pride in agriculture and industry, and highlight the value-building function of professional courses. 2. The integration of ""post, course, competition and certificate"" promotes the modular design of course content and enhances the adaptability of the course

Based on the concept of vocational ability growth of students majored in horticultural techniques, the course content is connected with the post skill structure, vocational skill competition standard and ""1+X"" certificate evaluation system of the major group, and the course content module is developed scientifically and reasonably. Each course module has clear behavioral objectives and training standards, and the content is relatively independent and can be flexibly combined. Teachers can rely on course resources to carry out layered teaching, classified guidance and standard assessment, and at the same time provide students of various majors with more choices to fully mobilize their enthusiasm and initiative, so as to truly realize the customized learning of students."
