Management science is characterized by both scientific and artistic attributes. On the scientific front, this course begins with the nature of management activities and guides students to deeply explore the underlying logic of management. By systematically contemplating three dimensions— the value of management (why manage), the means of management (how to achieve goals), and the objects of management (what problems to solve)—a learning framework of “goal-oriented, problem-driven, and behavior-focused” is constructed.
On the artistic side, the course focuses on analyzing the profound impact of corporate culture and globalization on management effectiveness, helping students to grasp the essence of flexible management.
The course employs a variety of modern teaching methods. By integrating cutting-edge information resources, analyzing current political and economic hotspots, comparing and analyzing the pros and cons of Chinese and foreign business cases, and combining seminar-style teaching (Seminar) centered on students, learners are not only able to firmly grasp management theories but also to develop the ability to flexibly apply management thinking, methods, and skills to their professional studies and practical life. This approach realizes the training objective of integrating knowledge and action.
