Operation and Management of Commercial Banks
"Operation and Management of Commercial Banks" is a core undergraduate course for the Financial Management major in the School of Finance and Economics. It aims to help students systematically master the core knowledge and practical skills of commercial bank operation and management. Centering on the three core operating principles of commercial banks—"safety, liquidity, and profitability"—the course covers basic understanding of commercial banks (such as their origin, development, nature, and functions), as well as key business modules including capital management, deposit and loan business, liquidity management of cash assets, off-balance sheet business, and international settlement. Meanwhile, it integrates analysis of industry transformation challenges and future development trends.
In the teaching process, the model of "theoretical teaching + real case analysis" is adopted. By interpreting bank operation cases and conducting business simulation practices, the course helps students understand the logic of bank operations, improve their initial ability to analyze operating conditions and identify business risks, and lay a solid foundation for their subsequent engagement in work or academic research in the financial field
