The course "College Students' Career Planning" is an integral component of the higher vocational education specialized curriculum system and a key course for fulfilling the fundamental mission of cultivating virtue through education. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and aligned with the implementation of the student quality education initiative, this course serves as a compulsory public course for students across all majors, integrating theoretical instruction, individual counseling, group psychological guidance, and promotional educational activities. The course employs the "11234" curriculum model. “1” signifies one goal: to cultivate Lei Feng-style professionals by integrating Ideological and Political Elements such as the core socialist values, the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, the Spirit of Craftsmanship, and the outstanding traditional Chinese culture into the teaching content system; “1” also embodies one concept: the philosophy of "serving learning" and establishing a student-centered classroom; “2” denotes two alignments: alignment with competitions and alignment with activities. “3” denotes three stages: pre-class inquiry, in-class instruction and practice, and course extension; “4” denotes a four-step process: task introduction, task completion, task summary, and post-class assignments. These four steps drive the completion of teaching objectives. The course is designed with the primary focus on cultivating Lei Feng-style professionals, integrating Ideological and Political Elements such as the core socialist values and outstanding traditional Chinese culture, alongside the 1+8 "Career Planning Guidance" vocational skill level standards into the teaching content design. The course content is organized into five modules: Career Awakening – Planning University Life; Self-Exploration – Discovering the True Self; Career Exploration – Identifying the Ideal Profession; Career Decision-Making – Defining Career Direction; Career Action – Developing a Career Plan. This course is designed to establish a solid foundation for students' career planning and development, personal growth, and sound employment perspectives. It cultivates students' career management skills and employability, while nurturing core competencies such as political awareness, professional ethics, moral integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
