This course is designed to provide an awareness level introduction to CBRNE agents and response considerations, with an emphasis on recognition, personal safety, and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) necessary for responders and receivers. Participants will gain the skills and knowledge to recognize threats, hazards, and methods to access/activate available resources, personal safety measures, response tactics, decontamination considerations, medical surge, and appropriate clinical interventions to prepare for CBRNE incidents.This component can then be followed by the performance-level, instructor-led segment at the local host location: Medical Management of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) Events (PER-211).
