This course will introduce students to the principles and practices
of social media marketing. It will cover the strategic use of social
media for brand awareness, customer engagement, and driving
sales. We will take both a marketer’s and consumer’s perspective
to understand social marketing interventions. Students will learn
what constitutes effective content, how to optimize campaigns, and
develop campaigns that resonate with target audiences, how social
media marketing strategies juxtapose and contribute to marketing
objectives and outcomes. The course will emphasize practical
understanding through real life examples. Through a combination of
theoretical discussions and practical applications, students will
gain the skills necessary to create and implement successful social
media marketing strategies.
