  • Week 1: Module 1: GD&T Fundamentals - Introduction to Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), GD&T rules, symbols, and standards, Form tolerances: flatness, straightness, circularity, and cylindricity, Industrial Application: Snap gauge design for 8 mm shaft OD
  • Week 2: Module 2: Orientation & Location Tolerances - Orientation tolerances: parallelism, perpendicularity, angularity, Profile tolerances, Location tolerances: position, concentricity, symmetry, Run-out tolerances and practical inspection applications
  • Week 3: Module 3: Engineering Drawing & GD&T Practice - Engineering drawing interpretation for inspection, Limits, fits, and tolerance analysis, Surface finish symbols and specifications, Industrial Case Studies (20 examples): Valve, housing, shaft, washer, adapter, and similar components
  • Week 4: Module 4: Quality Tools (7 QC Tools) - Cause-and-effect (Fishbone) diagram, Pareto chart, Control charts, Scatter diagram, Histogram, Stratification, Check sheets, Case studies for quality problem-solving
  • Week 5: Module 5: Plug Gauge Design - Concept and applications of plug gauges, Step-by-step gauge design methodology, Industrial Examples: Valve body ID, Bearing bore Ø35 mm, Coupling hole Ø50 mm, Piston pin bore, Adapter recess depth, Gauge validation and assessment
  • Week 6: Module 6: Snap Gauge Design - Snap gauge design principles and inspection logic Applications for: 8 mm OD, 37 mm width, 65 mm OD, 110 mm height, 12 mm groove diameter, 2 mm groove width, Inspection methodology and acceptance criteria
  • Week 7: Module 7: Flush Pin Gauge Design, Flush pin gauge concepts and applications, Measurement of component depths, Inspection of groove and thread depths, Dial-type gauges for interior hole depth measurement, Module 8: Advanced Gauge Design & Final Assessment, Advanced flush pin gauge design for groove-depth position, Height measurement between unmeasurable or obstructed faces, Final industrial assessment and project
  • Week 8: Module 9: Tolerance Stack-Up & Mechanical Assembly Applications, Fundamentals of tolerance stack-up analysis, Functional impact on mechanical assemblies, Live industrial examples and demonstrations at AMTDC, IITM Research Park, Chennai
  • Week 9: Duration & Effort - Total Duration: 40 Hours, 30 Hours – Online Training (Kriatec eLearning Portal), 10 Hours – Hands-on Practical Sessions at AMTDC, Course Duration: 9 Weeks, Learner Effort: 4–6 hours per week, Course Access Period: 6 Months from the date of enrollment
