Lifestyle and Non-Communicable Diseases is a 4 credit course to be completed over a 12 weeks duration. This course aims to create awareness regarding the inter relationship between lifestyle and non-communicable diseases so that the enrolled participants are able toidentify common lifestyle-related risk factors (such as smoking, unhealthy diet, and lack of physical activity) associated with the development of non-communicable diseases, anddescribe their effects on human health.Explain the role of lifestyle changes (e.g., increasing physical activity, adopting a balanced diet) in the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases, using basic principles of health promotion and disease prevention strategies
