ABOUT THE COURSE:This course is designed to provide a thorough understanding of the basic principles and concepts of Plant Pathology. The course focuses on four important objectives of plant pathology. “Etiology” deals with the causes of plant diseases, including biotic and abiotic factors. “Pathogenesis” describes the process of disease development and the interaction between host and pathogen. “Epidemiology” explains the occurrence, spread, suitable environmental factors and distribution of plant diseases in nature. Management emphasizes various methods used to prevent and control plant diseases. Overall, the course builds a strong conceptual base for advanced studies in plant health and disease management.
