ABOUT THE COURSE:Quality teacher interventions are crucial for achieving the goals of NEP 2020, with pedagogical knowledge and teaching methods defining teacher professionalism. Teacher education programs emphasize effective pedagogy and teaching practices. Research shows that children learn languages quickly, and abstract concepts are grasped better when taught in their mother tongue or local language. To enhance language learning, maximum exposure to the target language is essential. This course equips students & prospective-teachers with language teaching skills, covering the nature, scope, importance, and functions of language. It also focuses on non-verbal communication, historical and policy perspectives, teaching methods, and the development of speaking, reading, and writing skills.
