Retail Fulfillment Using Apps is an intermediate course for retail professionals, individual contributors, and operational leaders who want to improve fulfillment performance using modern, cloud-connected workflows.
The course focuses on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and how it supports integrated order, warehouse, inventory, and analytics processes. Learners examine common retail fulfillment challenges, including multi-channel inventory drift, manual picking delays, stock visibility gaps, and rising customer expectations.
Learners explore how orders move through Business Central, from sales order ingestion and release through warehouse shipment creation, picking, packing, and posting. They also examine how physical warehouse structures map to digital ERP configurations using Location Cards, Zones, Bins, Bin Ranking, Item Ledger Entries, Warehouse Adjustments, and reconciliation workflows.
The course also introduces fulfillment telemetry and embedded analytics. Learners calculate order cycle time, pick accuracy, error ratios, and dock-to-stock latency. They use filtered views, Role Center tiles, dashboards, and KPI reporting to identify warehouse floor friction and support operational decision-making.
In the final module, learners synthesize fulfillment data into an optimization proposal and time-bound readiness plan. They define improvement strategies, map Business Central configuration changes, plan staff training, manage rollout dependencies, and identify risk mitigation actions.
By the end of the course, learners will be prepared to analyze fulfillment challenges, connect warehouse operations to Business Central data structures, interpret performance metrics, and create a practical blueprint for improving retail logistics outcomes.
