This capstone course enables you to apply the project management knowledge and tools developed throughout the Specialization by producing a coherent set of core planning deliverables for a project of your choice or a provided case study. You will draft a narrative project charter statement, define scope through a work breakdown structure (WBS), sequence activities, and develop an integrated schedule and budget. You will also clarify team roles using a responsibility assignment matrix (RAM) and identify key project risks with appropriate response strategies. The course emphasizes independent research and practical decision-making, with capstone deliverables evaluated through AI‑graded assessments aligned to the course rubric. By the end of this course, you will be able to: - Develop a narrative project charter statement that defines purpose, objectives, scope boundaries, and key stakeholders. - Create a work breakdown structure (WBS) that decomposes project scope into manageable deliverables and work packages. - Sequence project activities by identifying dependencies and logical relationships among tasks. - Build a project schedule using activity durations, sequencing, and milestones to produce a feasible timeline. - Create a project budget by estimating costs and aligning them to the WBS and schedule. - Create a responsibility assignment matrix (RAM) that clarifies roles, ownership, and accountability for project work. - Identify project risks and define appropriate response strategies (e.g., avoid, mitigate, transfer, accept) aligned to risk exposure.
