Product Management: Developing and Delivering a New Product

Modern IT operations depend on scripting fluency across multiple languages and platforms. This course builds practical automation skills in both PowerShell and Python, with a focus on real-world infrastructure tasks, secure coding practices, and integration with DevOps workflows.

You will write production-ready PowerShell scripts to manage Windows servers, Exchange, and Azure resources, and develop Python scripts for data transformation, API interactions, and automated testing. You will then connect these solutions to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub, enabling automated, event-driven task execution at scale.

Syllabus

Identify the core stages of new product development, define gate criteria that can be objectively checked, and explain the product manager's changing role and cross-functional partners at each stage
Apply customer discovery and validation techniques, including problem interviews, jobs-to-be-done, MVP testing, and smoke tests, to evaluate product ideas against real evidence before development begins
Describe and plan the key activities of a successful product launch, from go-to-market positioning and cross-functional readiness through to interpreting post-launch adoption, activation, and retention metrics
