Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for tertiary students, particularly postgraduate students or final-year students (for the FYP), lecturers, researchers including the Research Assistant, Research Officer and journalists.

Any prerequisite courses?

There are no prerequisites for this course. The content is meant for beginners or someone with no experience in research. Everyone is welcome to join this quest!

Student's learning time:

There is no fixed time frame. But if you really sit down, you may allocate around two weeks to complete the course. So, feel free to learn and engage in the activities at any time and anywhere.

  • Differentiate between a literature review and a systematic review
  • Design the basic structure of literature and systematic review in research
  • To discuss the basic structure of literature review in research
  • To differentiate types of literature review
  • To compare online resources and research databases available for literature search
  • To discuss important elements of Systematic Review.
  • To complete the Systematic Review procedures.
  • To use the standard protocol (PRISMA) of Systematic Review
