This course provides a practical guide to conducting and reporting a systematic review. Learners will explore the key stages of the review process, including developing a review question, conducting literature searches, and assessing study quality.     • This module introduces the fundamentals of systematic reviews and their role in synthesizing research evidence. You will learn how systematic reviews differ from other types of evidence synthesis, explore the key stages involved in planning and conducting a review, and consider when a systematic review is the most appropriate approach for addressing a research question. The module also provides practical guidance on managing the review process, helping you build a strong foundation for undertaking a rigorous and well-organized systematic review.
  • How Do I Define the Scope of a Systematic Review?
    • This module focuses on defining the scope and direction of a systematic review before the review process begins. You will learn how to develop a clear and focused review question, conduct scoping searches, establish appropriate inclusion and exclusion criteria, and create a review protocol to guide your work. By carefully planning these foundational elements, you will be well prepared to conduct a rigorous, transparent, and effective systematic review.
  • How Do I Find Appropriate Evidence?
    • This module explores how to search for, identify, and select the evidence needed for a systematic review. You will learn how to develop effective search strategies, choose appropriate databases, screen studies against inclusion criteria, and select relevant papers for review.
