Live Webinar Series
Child Development 0–3 Months
Developmental Milestones, Concerns & Basic Interventions for Infants 0–3 Months
Presented by Rebecca Hall ATC, LAT, LMT • 5 CE Hours
The first three months of life represent one of the most important periods of neurological, sensory, and motor development. During this stage, infants rapidly begin to develop movement patterns, feeding coordination, regulation skills, postural control, and early interaction with their environment and caregivers.
For healthcare professionals and therapists working with infants and families, understanding what is typical—and what may warrant closer observation or referral—is an essential clinical skill. Early recognition and supportive intervention strategies can help improve participation in feeding, sleep, tummy time, bonding, movement, and daily caregiving routines while also supporting caregiver confidence and reducing stress.
This practical and clinically focused live webinar series is designed to help practitioners better understand infant development during the 0–3 month stage. Through lectures, demonstrations, case-based learning, reflective discussion, and practical examples, participants will learn how to observe movement patterns, recognize primitive reflexes, identify developmental red flags, and apply supportive intervention strategies appropriate for this age group.

Dates June 23 & June 30 Time 7:00 PM Eastern Time Format 2 x 90-Minute Live Online Sessions CE Hours 5 Hours Access Lifetime Access IncludedWhat This Webinar Covers
Developmental milestones, primitive reflexes, infant movement observation, positioning, sensory regulation, tummy time, feeding and latching considerations, reflux-related tension patterns, plagiocephaly, torticollis, movement asymmetry, regulation difficulties, caregiver education, bonding and participation in daily routines, red flags for referral, and basic supportive intervention strategies appropriate for infants during the first three months of life.
Learning Experience
Participants will engage in lecture-based teaching, live demonstrations, clinical discussion, case-based learning, guided observation exercises, and reflective learning activities designed to strengthen clinical reasoning and confidence.
Particular emphasis will be placed on observation skills and clinical decision-making. Participants will learn practical strategies for assessing infant movement, positioning, regulation, symmetry, and caregiver interaction while recognizing patterns that may benefit from early support or referral.
The course also explores gentle supportive intervention strategies that may help improve participation in feeding, sleep, tummy time, bonding, early play, positioning, and everyday caregiving routines.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this webinar series, participants should be able to identify typical developmental milestones expected during the first three months of life and recognize primitive reflexes commonly observed during this stage of development.
Participants will also develop greater confidence in observing infant movement, positioning, symmetry, and developmental red flags while understanding when referral or further assessment may be appropriate.
The course further aims to strengthen practitioner confidence in applying caregiver education strategies and supportive intervention approaches related to feeding, tummy time, regulation, bonding, positioning, and developmental participation.
