  • Evaluate an enterprise request and recommend a supported integration approach for an agent powered by the GitHub Copilot harness in Microsoft Copilot Studio.

After completing this module, you can:

    • Distinguish how knowledge sources, tools (including connectors, MCP servers, Foundry IQ, Fabric IQ, and Work IQ), and connected agents address different integration requirements.
    • Evaluate an enterprise requirement and recommend an integration approach based on the required data, action, or delegation and its operating constraints.
    • Identify the credentials, connection requirements, and policies each integration approach needs.
    • Draft specific tool, skill, and connected-agent descriptions that help the agent select the intended capability for a request.
  • Build and connect standalone workflows to agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio. Design input/output contracts, add or remove workflow actions, require end-user confirmation, and test expected paths.

After completing this module, you can:

    • Decide when to use agent reasoning and when to use a deterministic workflow.
    • Design workflow trigger inputs and response outputs that support reliable agent-to-workflow communication.
    • Create a standalone workflow in the Copilot Studio Workflows experience.
    • Add, configure, or remove a connector action and manage its dynamic content references.
    • Add a workflow to an agent as a tool and require end-user confirmation before it runs.
    • Test success, missing-information, cancellation, and basic failure paths, and use workflow activity to diagnose problems.
  • Add human review to Copilot Studio workflows to collect missing information and require approval before sensitive actions.

After completing this module, you can:

    • Identify workflow steps that warrant a human-in-the-loop gate and match the pattern to the risk.
    • Configure the native Request for information action to pause a workflow and collect specific values from a designated human.
    • Branch a workflow on a human decision by using the Yes/No input on the Request for information action, and keep a policy-gated action behind an explicit approval.
