Linux system administrators are in demand across every industry that runs servers — nearly all of them. This program gives you a structured, hands-on path from your first Linux command to LFCS certification readiness.
You'll start at the command line: navigating the filesystem, managing file permissions, using grep and regular expressions, and building the muscle memory real administration requires. From there, you'll move into identity management and networking — creating users, configuring LDAP, routing IPv4/IPv6 traffic, and implementing firewalls, NAT rules, and SSH tunnels.
The program shifts to system lifecycle management: controlling the boot process, building systemd services, diagnosing processes, scheduling tasks, and enforcing mandatory access control with SELinux. You'll also deploy containers and virtual machines.
In the final course, you'll tackle enterprise storage — partitioning disks, managing volumes with LVM, mounting remote filesystems via NFS, and auditing performance. The program closes with mock exams simulating the real LFCS experience.

A Linux system in isolation has no enterprise value. This course teaches you how to connect your systems to real networks — and how to control who can access them and what they can do. You'll start with local identity management: creating and modifying user accounts and groups, configuring system-wide environment profiles, setting user resource limits, managing delegated privileges, and integrating Linux systems with LDAP-based enterprise directories. From there, the focus shifts to networking. You'll configure IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, set up hostname and DNS resolution, and verify the status of network services in production environments. The course then builds into advanced configurations: bridge and bonding devices for redundancy, packet filtering with firewall rules, port redirection, and network address translation. The final module covers the high-availability and security patterns that enterprise administrators rely on: reverse proxies, load balancers, time synchronization, and SSH server and client configuration. Every topic is supported by hands-on labs that place you in realistic network engineering scenarios. Storage is the backbone of every production Linux environment — and this course gives you the skills to manage it at an enterprise level, then proves you're ready to be certified. You'll start with the fundamentals of block storage: creating, modifying, and removing physical partitions; configuring and managing swap space; and creating filesystems that mount correctly at boot or on demand. You'll also apply mount options and filesystem features that support stable, predictable behavior in production. The course then moves into enterprise storage patterns. You'll mount remote file shares using NFS and manage Network Block Devices for extended storage capacity. You'll use LVM to create, resize, and migrate logical volumes across multi-disk configurations — the kind of dynamic storage management that production workloads demand. Advanced filesystem permissions and storage performance monitoring under real-world conditions round out the enterprise module. The final module is dedicated entirely to LFCS exam readiness. You'll consolidate your knowledge across all program topics, use mock exam results to identify remaining gaps, and build a focused final revision plan. It means owning the entire lifecycle — from the moment a system boots to the security policies that govern what runs on it. This course starts with the Linux boot process: safely booting, rebooting, and shutting down systems; switching between operating modes; and troubleshooting bootloader issues. You'll then use scripting and systemd to automate maintenance tasks and create persistent background services. The monitoring module gives you the tools to keep systems stable: diagnosing and controlling running processes, analyzing system log files to investigate service behavior, and scheduling recurring tasks with cron and related utilities. Software management covers the full cycle: installing, updating, and removing packages with Linux package managers; configuring custom repositories; compiling software from source; and verifying the integrity and availability of system resources and processes. The final module addresses security and infrastructure abstraction. You'll modify kernel runtime parameters, apply SELinux contexts and policies to enforce mandatory access control, and create and manage containers and virtual machines as isolated Linux workloads.
