In this course, you'll continue your exploration of the ITIL framework by adhering to the seven guiding principles: focus on value, start where you are, progressively iterate with feedback, collaborate and promote visibility, think and work holistically, keep it simple and practical, and optimize and automate. You'll also be introduced to the ITIL service value system, including components like governance, the service value chain, and continual improvement. This is the second course in a multi-course Specialization.

This course is useful to anyone who would like a foundational understanding of IT service management, its key principles and practices, and how it will help deliver better value to your customers. You will explore introductory and key concepts behind ITIL. You'll also dive into the ITIL framework, particularly the four dimensions of service management and the service value system. This is the first course in a multi-course Specialization.

To round out your experience with the ITIL framework, in this course, you'll explore seven key ITIL practices: continual improvement, service-level management, change enablement, incident management, service-request management, service desk, and problem management. You'll also explore other ITIL practices of note, including general management, service management, and technical management practices. This is the third and final course in a multi-course Specialization.
