In this Specialization, you'll build a practical understanding of how generative AI, blockchain, and Web3 can work together to reshape digital systems and business models. You'll begin with the evolution from Web1 to Web3, decentralization, and the six-layer Web3-AI ecosystem. You'll then examine how blockchain can strengthen generative AI through data integrity, provenance, privacy, and transparency, and how generative AI can enhance smart contracts, dApps, digital assets, and network performance.
As you progress, you'll explore agentic AI, DAO governance, AI-driven tokenomics, and the ethical, privacy, and accountability challenges that come with advanced decentralized systems. You'll also analyze applications across healthcare, arts and media, global commerce, supply chains, and energy.
Designed for business leaders and professionals evaluating emerging technologies, this Specialization helps you connect technical concepts with strategic opportunities, risks, and real-world use cases.
By the end of this Specialization, you will be able to:
Explain how AI, blockchain, and decentralization interact across the Web3 ecosystem. Evaluate how generative and agentic AI can improve decentralized applications, governance, and token economies. Analyze opportunities, risks, and ethical considerations when applying AI and blockchain. Assess AI and blockchain use cases across healthcare, media, commerce, supply chains, and energy.

In this course, you'll explore how AI and blockchain can work together to address challenges across healthcare, arts and media, global commerce, and energy. You’ll examine practical applications and evaluate how these technologies can improve trust, efficiency, transparency, and resilience. In healthcare, you’ll analyze personalized medicine, digital twins, clinical trials, pharmaceutical supply chains, secure data sharing, and administrative automation. You’ll then examine how blockchain can support creators through content authenticity, direct compensation, NFTs, smart contracts, and interactive digital experiences. You’ll also explore digital identity, decentralized marketplaces, cross-border payments, customs clearance, logistics, and ESG tracking in global commerce. Finally, you’ll examine decentralized energy markets, grid optimization, tokenized energy assets, carbon credits, and incentives for energy efficiency.

In this course, you'll explore how artificial intelligence, blockchain, and decentralization are shaping the next generation of the web. You’ll compare Web1, Web2, and Web3 and examine how each era changes information access, publishing, data ownership, and user control. You’ll learn how decentralization works across value, infrastructure, and organizations and how these approaches can support a more open and user-centric digital environment. You’ll also examine the six layers of the Web3-AI ecosystem, from decentralized infrastructure and data systems to AI models, smart contracts, and user-facing applications. The course then explores seven key synergies between AI and blockchain, including decentralized intelligence, trustworthy data, AI-enhanced smart contracts, privacy, transparency, and tokenized incentives. You’ll also evaluate challenges involving data access, interoperability, computing demands, governance, and ethics.

In this course you'll explore how generative AI and blockchain can work together to create more trusted, intelligent, and user-centered digital systems. You’ll examine how blockchain can strengthen generative AI through data integrity, provenance, federated learning, privacy controls, transparency, and greater user control over data. You’ll also analyze how generative AI can improve blockchain systems by supporting smart contract creation, personalized decentralized applications, dynamic digital assets, and network optimization. The course then connects these capabilities to practical industry use cases. You’ll examine how blockchain and generative AI can work together across arts and media, real estate, gaming, risk assessment, and supply chain management to improve transparency, streamline processes, strengthen trust, and create new forms of value.

In this course you'll explore how advanced AI can reshape digital agency, decentralized governance, and blockchain-based economic systems. You’ll examine agentic AI and how intelligent agents could act as digital counterparts that make decisions, manage tasks, and interact with services on a user’s behalf. You’ll learn how blockchain can support these agents through security, transparency, identity verification, and trust mechanisms while considering challenges involving ethics, accountability, privacy, and data ownership. The course also examines how AI can support decentralized autonomous organizations, or DAOs, through proposal evaluation, sentiment analysis, treasury management, conflict moderation, and decision support. You’ll then explore AI-driven tokenomics, including adaptive token supply, optimized incentives, and personalized economic experiences.
