Dr. Ian Johnson and Danny Sims with the FAA Aviation Weather Branch will cover a Summary of Weather Technology in the Cockpit, the (WTIC) Program and Aviation Weather Research Program (AWRP), General Aviation (GA) weather-related accident data, Contributing Factors to weather-related accidents, Results of Pilot weather knowledge research, WTIC research, Risk Identifying, Assessing, and Mitigating Tools. Finally, they will review weather-related accidents where pilots' perception of weather was incorrect.
