There is no shortage of weather elements in the accident data. All too often, pilots continue VFR flights into instrument meteorological conditions. The result is normally not good! Some weather-related accidents are based on the pilot's lack of knowledge of weather theory and/or weather services. Some happen because the pilot failed to obtain a good weather briefing, or to heed the warning signs discovered in a weather briefing. You can see the common thread. You already know what the news headline is going to say: "Pilot error". What is it that drives us to make these poor decisions?
